Welcome to Class 4!

Mission Statement

In Class 4, we will show compassion by being kind and helpful to everyone. We are fair and we show respect to everyone. In Class 4, we are all friends - we love and trust each other. When things go wrong, we show forgiveness. We always try our best and we will be confident learners. We will have fun together.

This half term Class 4 will start swimming lessons on Fridays!

MATHS

This half term we are going to be learning all about Fractions with Mr Hamlett and Time  with Mrs. Foster

ENGLISH

We are going to be reading another story from the book 'The Lion and the Unicorn and other short stories' by Jane Ray. The story that we wll be reading is 'The heavenly Elephant' We are really looking forward to reading this as we all loved 'The singing ringing tree' and produced some fantastic writing.

SCIENCE

Our new Science topic for this half term is Animals including humans. We are going to be learning all about; different types of teeth and see if we can identify the teeth of different animals, the digestive system and how it works, we are also going to be learning all about food chains and have a go at creating our own!

Useful Information

Mr Hamlett teaches Class 4 on Monday, Tuesday and Friday.

Mrs Foster teaches Class 4 on Wednesday and Thursday.

 

P.E days are Wednesday and Thursday - Don't forget your kit!

Homework and spellings are issued on Friday.

Fun in Maths!

In maths we have been learning all about 2D shapes and angles. We created different types of angles using straws and also categorised shapes using our own criteria.

Science

We had fun learning about Electricity and completing circuits making the bulb light. We also discovered what insulators and conductors were.

Using our Play scripts to act out the story of Romulus and Remus.
