Young Voices 2015

On Wednesday the 4th March, 35 children from Key stage 2 took part in the world's largest choir - The Young Voices concert in Manchester!

The children, led by Miss Delaney, had been practising for the concert, during lunchtimes, for many weeks!  Songs included: an Andrew Lloyd Webber medley, 'When I grow up' from Matilda, Believe, a pop medley and a tribute song to Nelson Mandela.  The food medley was choeographed by Andy from Urban Strides and all 7500 children looked amazing dancing together.

The children and parents were also treated to fantastic performances by Urban Strides and also Lucy Spraggan - children actually joined in during her song 'Unsinkable'.

It was a truly magical evening and all the children were a credit to Batley Parish School, as their hard word and rehearsals were clearly evident.  Well done!
