Stay and Play Events
These are linked to special events or festivals for example:
A Welcome Stay and Play
A Christmas Stay and Play
An Easter Stay and Play
A Celebration Event (at the end of the year)
Learning Together and Workshop Sessions.
These are opportunities for you to come and see your child learning something in particular or an information session for families to learn how to support at home. For example, a phonics workshop. or parent consultation.
Story Suitcase
We love to share stories in our school. Each week a child is chosen to bring home the story suitcase. Inside you will find a book, hot chocolate sachet, Cuddles our Reception bear and a notebook to record your thoughts about the story.
Mystery Parent Reader
Each week we welcome parents and family members to come along and share their child's favourite story from home with the class. Remember to keep this a secret from your child, it's lovely to see their face when they realise it's their special person!
Family Worship
Every Monday morning straight after drop off (9am) we welcome you to attend our Family Worship.
We share our class learning on Twitter. Remember to follow us @BPReception to see all of the wonderful things we do.
Tapestry
We track your child's learning journey using an online system called Tapestry. You will be able to see all of the wonderful activities and learning that takes place in school and also add to it at home! We welcome your home contributions all you have to do is log on, click the add observation and save it for us! We also use Tapestry to upload home learning ideas to consolidate learning from the week. This is saved under the 'Activities' section.
Parent Hub

Monthly Newsletter
Each month we send out a newsletter. This has important information about our learning, up and coming dates and lots of exciting ways that you can help at home. We send this out via the Parent Hub App.
